ROBERTSDALE, Ala. – Baldwin REALTORS® made history for their association on Wednesday, June 3, by graduating the first group of agents from the Baldwin REALTOR® Certified Specialist program. The program is monumental because it has been specifically designed by BR® Board and Committee members for their REALTORS® within Baldwin County.
One of the biggest motivators behind the creation of the Baldwin REALTOR® Certified Specialist program is the fact that Baldwin County is the largest county in Alabama. (It’s actually larger than the state of Rhode Island.) And because of its size, there are many different “areas” and property types found within Baldwin County. In designing the certification program, the task force committee of BR® members focused on three specific areas of Baldwin County, each with their own real estate differences: Resort, Eastern Shore, and Rural.
As an association, this is the first time Baldwin REALTORS® has ever been able to endorse a specific list of REALTORS® to the community. These agents have proven their validation in multiple ways: eligibility to the BR®CS program based on 2+ years in the association and a high number of real estate transactions, a rigorous application analyzing their association and community involvement, 2 online courses specific to the “area” of Baldwin County they primarily serve (Resort, Eastern Shore, or Rural), and 3 days of in-person classes.
The REALTORS® that received certification on June 3rd completed their 2 online courses and took three days of in-person classes alongside other program participants. More agents are expected to receive their certification within the coming weeks as they complete their online courses. Brent Lancaster, CEO & President of Bob Brooks School in Baton Rouge, LA, is the certified instructor for the education portion of this program.
Those that received certification in the Resort area were Angela Claypool, Donna Fitts, Teresa King, Robin Roberts, Lawanna Sharpless, Marty Sherrer, and Rolland Shick. The Resort area consists of Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan, Foley, and Bon Secour. These agents have proven their knowledge and expertise on multiple topics including Luxury Waterfront Property, Investment Property, and Second Home Vacation Sales.
Those that received certification in the Eastern Shore area were Leann Anderson, Jaime Cooper, Jack English, Angie Fagan, Tracey Goens, Carl Gustafson, Kate Irvine, Haley Montgomery, Lucinda Nunnally, Rachel Romash, and Stephanie Sandefur. The Eastern Shore area consists of Spanish Fort, Daphne, Fairhope, Belforest, Montrose, Weeks Bay, Fish River, Point Clear. These agents have proven their knowledge and expertise on multiple topics including Unique Single Tax Colony in Fairhope, quickly changing school districts, and developing neighborhoods.
The Baldwin REALTOR® Certified Specialist program will be an ongoing certification program for Baldwin REALTORS®. Classes are already scheduled quarterly from now until March 2021, and new rounds of applicants are accepted in congruence with these quarterly classes
